    Who can use the service?

    All individuals who wish to have a pathology specimens collected in the convenience of their home, workplace or any other suitable location.

     

    How do I book an appointment?

    You can book appointments online via our website, by sending an email or by calling on the phone numbers provided.

     

    How soon can I book an appointment?

    We recommend a minimum of 3 days before your preferred appointment date but can accommodate urgent appointments required with 24 hrs notice in Victoria only.

     

    Is there an age limit as to who can have pathology specimens collected by Pathology Solutions?

    We have no age limit as to who can use the service; We are equipped to collect specimens from newborns through to persons over 100yrs old.

     

    Are there certain tests that cannot be collected for testing by Pathology Solutions?

    We currently do not perform ECG, Spirometry Tests or fit 24hr Blood Pressure or Holter Monitors.

     

    Is the service Bulk Billed?

    Most of the pathology tests can be bulk billed if your doctor/specialist has selected this option but there is an out of pocket or non rebatable payment for the mobile collection and courier service we provide.

     

    What does the service cost?

    Basic pathology tests without additional destination fees or specialised equipment requirements costs $80 inclusive of GST.

     

    Can I receive a concession card, health care card or Veterans Affairs discount?

    Yes their is a discount of 10% off total service costs for eligible clients holding a current concession, healthcare, pension, disability or student card and for veterans affairs, transport accident commission and workcover related tests.

     

    How can I make a payment?  

    You can pay via Paypal, Stripe, Direct Bank Transfer or Credit Card.

     

    Can I get a refund if I cancel my appointment?

    Yes, we offer a full refund if your appointment is cancelled with 24hrs notice prior to your original appointment time.

    If less than 24hrs notice provided a cancellation fee of $80 applies.

     

    What if I need to change my appointment?

    You can change your appointment if required with no additional costs incurred if you notify us 24hrs prior to your original appointment.

     

    What do I need at the time of my appointment?

    At the time of your appointment you will need to present your original pathology request referral supplied by your doctor/specialist, your medicare card and/or concession card and photo identification.

     

    How long will it take for my results to get to my doctor or specialist?

    Laboratory testing times usually take up to 3 working days to supply a copy of your results to your doctor/specialist this may take longer if there are specialised tests or during increased impact on pathology services, such as during the Coronavirus Pandemic.
